Cornish Cornflower Blue Seaglass Ring | Size P | Handmade in Cornwall

This one-of-a-kind ring features a beautiful and rare piece of cornflower blue sea glass, found on the Cornish coast during one of our beach cleans.

This particular piece was discovered on Sennen Beach in Cornwall, before being brought back to my little workshop and carefully transformed into a piece of jewellery.

The sea glass originally had a sharp edge, so I carefully hand-carved and shaped it into a smooth circle, making it safer and more comfortable to wear while preserving the beautiful colour and character created by its time in the sea.

I love knowing that this little piece of glass has had a life before becoming jewellery. Tumbled by the Cornish sea and eventually washed ashore, its original story may be a mystery, but it can now begin a completely new one with its wearer.

The ring itself has been handmade using 100% recycled sterling silver. The little silver balls decorating the setting have even been created using the small offcuts of silver left over while making the ring. I try to waste as little as possible in my silversmithing, so rather than discarding these tiny pieces, I've incorporated them back into the finished design.

My jewellery is handmade here in Cornwall, with much of my inspiration coming from our dramatic coastline and the wonderful little treasures that find their way onto its shores. I love giving these found pieces a new life and turning them into something that can be worn and treasured for years to come.
