Australian Boulder Opals

Australian boulder opal is a unique and captivating variety of opal found primarily in the vast and remote outback regions of Queensland, Australia.

Unlike traditional opals which are typically found in sedimentary rock formations, boulder opals are embedded within ironstone matrix, forming stunning veins or patches of vibrant colour. These opals often display a mesmerising play-of-colour, showcasing a spectrum of hues including blues, greens, reds, and yellows, making each stone a truly one-of-a-kind gemstone.
